I was recently asked why I started a memorial site selling urns. I had to think about it for while. Then I remembered the week after my fathers death. It was difficult enough dealing the loss of my father. All but one of his 10 children came plus many of his grandchildren. It was very difficult trying to create a memorial that would celebrate the life my father lived.
The funeral home was overpriced and didn’t have much for a selection. I wanted more options and some suggestions on how others created a memorial for their loved one. None was to be had.
I was a thousand miles away from my home and beings that I was the creative one in the family I was the one selected to create a memorial board. I spent days going over pictures to make the memorial board. In doing so I missed out on being with my family which I sadly regret to this day.
Thankfully, I already digitized the family’s pictures so his memorial video was easy put together.
Another problem arose. My dad didn’t have a nice portrait. My sister-in-law found a snapshot of him and had it enlarged. The picture was mediocre at best.
Even though it was stressful we did have a beautiful service that celebrated my fathers life.
When the bank that I worked at for 10 years closed their doors I needed to find employment. My husband suggested I start an online store and I knew immediately what I wanted to do.
I wanted to help people create a beautiful memorial for their loved ones.
I wanted to offer products that they can purchase per-needed. Beautiful sculptures and glass art work urns.
Personable products that helps you tell the story of your loved ones life. Ceramic memorial plaques to personalize a memorial or grave site. Gifts that can be purchased instead of bothersome flowers. Heirloom products that can be passed down from one generation to the next. To solve the problem of not having a portrait of my father I invented Create A Portrait and Create a Composition.
I am passionate about what I do. When a loved one passes it is time to grieve with family and friends not be working up to the last minute on planning the memorial service. Every day I work on improving service to my customers. I have worked to keep prices reasonable even going so far as to reject distributors who want to overcharge for their products. I offer free shipping in the continental United States so there will be no surprises in the shopping cart. I will work directly with customers in the outer states and those in other countries on shipping charges.
I believe in making every day count with our loved ones so I started a blog 2TouchTomorrow.com I discuss ways on creating a memorial, sharing memories and taking every available moment to cherish my loved ones.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my products at Finememorialurns.com and if you have any questions please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
